My New Year’s Eve Prayer for You

Another year has passed, and while so much has changed, God remains immutable and faithful. Regardless of what we are experiencing, we have such hope in Him! I thank the LORD for His Word which He originated outside of our space and time. I am amazed that this transcendent God would condescend to give it to us through the Holy Spirit and then incarnate to fulfill it.  He impressed upon 40 authors over thousands of years so that we could KNOW its validity (specifically since there is zero probability that humanity could create it without Him; never mind accurately write the future in history). He loves us so much that He has provided everything we need, and He looks after His Word to perform it!

Please receive this prayer based on the Scriptures offered for your well-being today and in 2023, as the LORD tarries. I pray that the Holy Spirit would activate His Word in all our hearts! May our gracious Heavenly Father bless you and keep you.

Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. Your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God. You are not your own;you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Is anyone among you sick? In the name of the Lord, the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Just as it is written: Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses.

So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.

Pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body. Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: He forgives all your iniquities, He heals all your diseases, He redeems your life from destruction, He crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, He satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

So, if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Arrangement from Psalms 103:2-6, Psalms 107:19-20; Proverbs 4:20-22; Isaiah 53:4-5; John 1:14; John 10:35; Romans 8:11; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; and, James 5:15

Don’t take my word for it, it is written; and Jesus said, “Scripture cannot be broken.”
